MACADAMIA OIL is almost transparent, sometimes yellowish oil pressed from macadamia nuts. This oil is enriched with healing ingredients that are very beneficial to human skin, hair and body. Macadamia oil is also used in cooking. The macadamia nut tree comes from Australia, where it is grown in the wild. The oil of this nut becomes harder at room temperature (similar to olive oil) and becomes more liquid as the temperature rises. Therefore, if you use this oil to moisturize the skin, pouring it on your hands first may make the oil a little thicker. However, rubbing the oil in the hands makes it liquid.

CARRIER OILS are plant-based oils. Oil is normally obtained from seeds, kernels or nuts, depending on the plant. Carrier oils are extremely useful and necessary when you use essential oils. Essential oils must be mixed with carrier oils when you want to apply them directly on the skin. Most essential oils can cause skin irritation when you apply them directly on the skin. That’s why I’ve mentioned carrier oils with most of the essential oils and making mixtures from them. When you love essential oils and wish to heal yourself with them then you must have a carrier oil to mix it with. To summarize – carrier oils dilute essentials oils and therefore prevent irritations. Carrier oils, in turn, are very nutritious and healthy, and mixing them with essential oils create a very healing combination.

Carrier oils are all very good moisturisers making the skin soft, smooth and improving its looks. Carrier oils can be used without essential oils. Carrier oils can also be mixed with body creams or lotions. Carrier oils help to get rid of try skin and nurture it abundantly so the skin can be protected from problems. It’s good to add carrier oils to bath water when you wish to nourish yourself with a healing essential oil bath. Silky and soft skin is guaranteed. Apply carrier oils all over your skin and make this part of your beauty routine. When you do an essential oil mask for your hair, then be sure to use also a carrier oil.

Which carrier is best for me?

All different carrier oils are very rich for their healing qualities and it’s hard to make a wrong choice. Over time a favourite may come up and when you use them you’ll feel which one works best for your skin. Be sure to choose the carrier oil also for its healing qualities. Or, alternate between all of them, as I do.

How do they smell?

Generally, carrier oils don’t have a strong aroma and their smell is quite subtle. However, essential oils have a very intense aroma as it’s the substance that makes the plants smell in nature. Carrier oils are very neutral and most of them have a slightly nutty and sweet aroma.

How much carrier oil should you use?

It depends on what you use the carrier oil for. Our skins are different, when you have dry skin then I recommend using more oil when oily then less. Add a light not thick coat of oil to the skin. When there is too much oil on the skin, then rub it so the skin could absorb it. When you want to add a carrier oil to bathwater, then you should use more of it, like 2-3 tablespoons.

THE HEALING QUALITIES OF MACADAMIA CARRIER OIL:

La Tene carrier oils are pure and can be used for skincare. If you have not used macadamia oil before, it is wise to first test whether this oil is right for you. Apply a small amount of oil to your hands to see how your skin reacts. In fact, this should always be done for the new oils you bring into your life. We are all very different, some have more sensitive skin than others. Macadamia oil can become your next favourite base oil to mix with La Tene essential oils and enjoy a pleasant bath or body treatment with them. Essential oils should always be applied to the skin with carrier oils so that they do not dry out the skin and the essential oils go well with macadamia oil.

Macadamia oil contains vitamin E, which is necessary for the health of the skin and hair. Regular use of macadamia oil in body care will help ensure that you have the right amount of vitamin E that your skin and hair need. Use it as a skin moisturiser and scalp healer.

Moisturises and protects the skin from the signs of ageing

More and more, I realize that the more time passes, the more your skin needs care. The production of collagen in the body slows down gradually after the age of 20, and the formation of ageing signs on the skin occurs over the years. By constantly nourishing and moisturising your skin, it is possible for almost everyone to delay the ageing process of their skin. I also recommend macadamia oil especially for those who have not been given beautiful smooth skin with genes and especially light-skinned people. The lighter our skin, the faster it can lose its elasticity. Regular use of macadamia oil helps to improve the appearance of the skin, reduce the formation of wrinkles and smooth out existing minimal wrinkles.

Macadamia oil protects the skin from oxidative stress, which can be caused by unhealthy food, the sun, environmental pollution and, most of all, stress. If your life is stressful, macadamia oil helps protect the skin from the outside so that stress cannot turn the skin old.

Macadamia oil is especially good for very dry skin, it helps to deeply moisturise the skin and provide nutrients to the skin for a long time. For example, use this carrier oil as a foundation oil (not on the eyelids if you use a liner). When using under make-up, add a small amount and massage the oil nicely into the skin.

Healer of dry and problematic scalp

Macadamia oil can nourish the scalp deeply and is suitable for you when your scalp is dry. How to understand that the scalp is dry? If so, white hair flakes(not yellowish and oily, but dry) will stay in your hair after washing your hair, and you may feel that your hair is still dirty after a good head wash. Itching of the scalp may also occur here. In this case, your scalp is too dry and in the long run, it can cause hair loss. In this case, keep Macadamia Oil on your head for 20 minutes before washing your hair. Then wash your head as usual. You can also add cedarwood essential oil, into the Macadamia carrier oil if your hair falls out. Cedarwood nourishes the hair roots and makes the hair grow.

If you have more severe hair loss, I recommend using either L-lysine with Iron or special food supplement for hair. There may also be a lack of essential nutrients in the body.

Macadamia oil helps to improve the skin from the top, the right nutrients from the inside. If you have been feeding your scalp with macadamia oil for a few months, you should already feel the changes.

A natural conditioner for your hair

Macadamia oil leaves hair silky soft, well-combed, shiny and makes it strong. You can massage a small amount of oil into your hair after washing your hair. Do this with damp hair so that the moisture inside your hair helps the oil to spread evenly on all over. Rub the hair gently between your hands and massage the oil into your scalp. If you have thin hair, use less oil and with thick hair use more. Experiment and feel how much is good for you. After the hair dries, you will see good results. They are too oily if you used too much oil. In this case, rinse your hair with water to remove excess oil, and after that, you will have beautiful shiny hair. There is no need for chemicals full of hair products!

Why is macadamia oil the right carrier oil for me?

Macadamia oil does not clog pores and this is one of the main reasons why this oil is good to use. Oils that clog pores cause redness and acne. You've probably felt that with some cosmetics, after applying it, your skin will become inflamed and acne will break out. This is not likely to be the case with macadamia oil, and you can use this oil even if you are very sensitive to different products.

The composition of macadamia oil is very similar to the skin's own natural oil. This means that with this oil, you apply to the skin something that is very natural for your body and the skin can absorb it well.

It is known that there are very few people in the world who have had a mild allergic reaction to macadamia oil and it is, therefore, safe to use it.

This oil contains Omega-7 fatty acid, which helps to heal wounds and inflammation on the skin. Macadamia oil also helps reduce the appearance of scars and scarring of wounds. It also contains the necessary chemical compounds to reduce skin irritation, redness and itching. Very good to use for insect bites, for example.

Sunscreen that helps to tan and nourish the skin during sun exposure

Carrier oils all have a mild sun protection effect, but no protection against strong UVB radiation. There is no need to worry about living in the Nordic countries, here UVB radiation does not become intense and it is rather right to apply fewer SP factors to form vitamin D. Macadamia oil protects against the Nordic sun very well, helps the skin to tan and nourishes the skin while you are sunbathing. Due to its properties that reduce redness, inflammation and skin rashes, macadamia oil also protects against sunburn

You can also apply macadamia oil to your lips while tanning to moisturize your lips and protect them from drying out. You can do this without any side effects.

I recommend sunbathing with macadamia oil and after tanning, wipe off excess oil from the skin with a towel and apply to the entire tanned area some Aloe Vera gel. One helps protect the skin while sunbathing, get a beautiful complexion, vitamin D and protect against burns, and Aloe Vera helps reduce the heat in the skin that is generated from the sun and soothes the skin. Using both of them will help you achieve a long-lasting complexion, as they will not let your skin start to peel. While sunbathing, drink plenty of water and eat fruit to nourish your body from within.
