JOJOBA, actually pronounced ho-ho-ba, it’s a plant that grows in the Sonoran desert Mexico Arizona and in South-California. Jojoba Latin name is Simmondsia Chinensis. Jojoba looks like a nut and the nut shaped fruits this tree gives is what Jojoba oil is made from. Actually, it’s not really oil, it’s simply called this way and these seeds actually have wax in them, which is the Jojoba oil.

Jojoba oil was a sacred oil for Native-Americans which was used to relieve many different illnesses and problems. Today, less attention is paid for plants, but it’s changing and people are starting to seek more and more help from plants. Jojoba is a master healer you could have in your home as one of the main alternative medicines.

CARRIER OILS is made from plants. Oil is normally obtained from seeds, kernels or nuts, depending on the plant. Carrier oils are extremely useful and necessary when you use essential oils. Essential oils must be mixed with carrier oils when you want to apply them directly on the skin. Most essential oils can cause skin irritation when you apply them directly on the skin. That’s why I’ve mentioned carrier oils with most of the essential oils and making mixtures from them. When you love essential oils and wish to heal yourself with them then you must have a carrier oil to mix it with. To summarize – carrier oils dilute essentials oils and therefore prevent irritations. Carrier oils, in turn, are very nutritious and healthy, and mixing them with essential oils create a very healing combination.

Carrier oils are all very good moisturisers making the skin soft, smooth and improving its looks. Carrier oils can be used without essential oils. Carrier oils can be mixed with body lotions or makeup products. Carrier oils help to get rid of try skin and nurture it abundantly so the skin can be protected from problems.

Which carrier is best for me?

All different carrier oils are very rich for their healing qualities and it’s hard to make a wrong choice. Over time a favourite may come up and when you use them you’ll feel which one works best for your skin. Be sure to choose the carrier oil also for its healing qualities. Or, alternate between all of them, as I do.

How do they smell?

Generally, carrier oils don’t have a strong aroma and their smell is quite subtle. However, essential oils have a very intense aroma as it’s the substance that makes the plants smell in nature. Carrier oils are very neutral and most of them have a slightly nutty and sweet aroma.

How much carrier oil should you use?

It depends on what you use the carrier oil for. Our skins are different, when you have dry skin then I recommend using more oil when oily then less. Add a light not thick coat of oil to the skin. When there is too much oil on the skin, then rub it so the skin could absorb it. When you want to add a carrier oil to bath water, then you should use more of it, like 2-3 tablespoons.

You can mix all LA TENE essential oils with Jojoba carrier oil. Each essential oil has its own special effect and healing power. Read more about different oils and when you feel like you wish to heal yourself with these, then mix them with Jojoba oil. Jojoba healing qualities only compliment essential oils. Jojoba is golden yellow and almost odourless. What’s interesting is that it doesn’t stain or leave marks behind. That’s why it’s so good to be used on the skin.

Suits for every skin type, especially for oily skin

The jojoba carrier oil is a very good skin healer that won’t clog pores. Therefore it’s also good for oily skin. Oily skin is very sensitive for different oils, creams and skin care products.  Jojoba carrier oils can be used risk-free without being afraid that is could cause skin irritation and acne.

I recommend using Jojoba oil on the skin before going to bed so the mystical healer could work wonders on your skin during the night. When you want, you can wipe the excess oil from your skin in the morning.

I recommend men to use Jojoba oil in their skin care routine and especially after shaving. Jojoba makes the skin soft where it was hurt during shaving. When your skin has been irritated, then Jojoba heals it quickly and takes away the visible irritation. At first, when you apply Jojoba, you can feel how the skin gets redder, but after a few hours, things will turn.

Jojoba won't cause irritation

What’s great about Jojoba is that it’s hypo allergic. This means it won’t cause allergic reactions. When you have very sensitive skin and over the years you have experienced different skin irritations and allergies then using Jojoba as your carrier oil is quite perfect. This could be your number 1 skin care product.

Jojoba oil is so versatile that I recommend experimenting with it. For example, it’s perfect to try lips. Jojoba oil hydrates and heals cracked lips and, after a few days of using, make them look beautiful again. When you’re in trouble with cracked or coarse heels, then, again, the answer is Jojoba oil. Apply Jojoba oil to your feet and see what happens. Who has trouble with try or bristle skin around nails, then this is your answer – Jojoba oil!

Healer of acne, eczema, psoriasis and other skin problems

A wonderful quality Jojoba has is that it can deeply hydrate the skin and relieve infections. Infectious skin and body is a perfect environment for skin problems like acne, eczema and psoriasis. When you have one of these skin conditions, then it’s reasonable to use Jojoba oil as a carrier oil. When you try to fight against skin diseases with essential oils, then mix healing essential oils with Jojoba and apply that to the skin. Best skin problem healer is Carrot essential oil, that is not used in aromatherapy for its strong smell. But, it’s number one healer for skin problems.

People who deal with back acne should use Jojoba oil on their face Use it daily and you’ll see how miracles will start to happen with your skin. I recommend using Jojoba oil with Tea Tree oil when you have acne. First, cleanse Acne-prone parts with Tea Tree oil and then massage Jojoba oil to the skin. This way you’ll give a 100% counterstrike to acne!

Use Jojoba with a sunburn

In the summer or when you’re catching the sun in the south you can easily forget yourself. Too much Sun is not good for the skin and when you’ve had too much then the skin is the one that suffers a lot. Sunburn is not a joke, this is the perfect environment for cancer cells.
